Intent-Based Networking(IBN)
IBN is based on Software Defined Network (SDN). IBN is a network administrator that can customize the network (expected) state, and can implement the network state policy by using the network automatic scheduling software. IBN is built on the basis of software defined Networking (SDN), which transforms the current hardware center, manual configuration and management mode into a software center, fully automated management mode. It enhances the ability of network context awareness, learning and reliability assurance. With the help of now popular machine learning algorithms, IBN is expected to become a reality.IBN is different from today’s way of managing enterprise networks. At present, the configuration of network status mostly depends on the manual configuration of network administrators, and algorithm verification is missing. Intention based network systems (IBNS) can monitor, identify and respond to changing network conditions in real time.It has changed from a manual method centered on hardware to a fully automatic method centered on software, which adds context, learning and assurance functions. Intention based networks can capture business intentions, and use analysis, machine learning and automation to continuously and dynamically adapt to changing business needs. This means constantly ensuring application performance requirements and automatically implementing user, security, compliance and IT operational policies throughout the network.
How does intention-based networks work?
Intention-based networks capture business intentions and convert them into network policies, which can be automated and applied consistently throughout the network. The ultimate goal is to enable the network to constantly monitor and adjust network performance to ensure ideal business results. Ultimately, this is achieved through a closed-loop system with the following functional building blocks: transformation, activation, and assurance. check spotodumps website
Transformation: the ability to tell the network what measures should be taken to achieve the desired business results (intentions) according to the consistent and verified strategies that the network can take.
Activation: deploy clear policies in the entire network infrastructure by automatically making system wide changes to all relevant networks and security devices.
Assurance: continuously monitor and verify whether required intentions have been applied and business results have been achieved. This may include remediation through recommended corrective actions, as well as continuous optimization through predictive analysis.

Cisco Digital Network Architecture(Cisco DNA)
IBN is Cisco digital new generation of network design, deployment, operation and maintenance methods and technologies. Its core feature is to achieve automation and assurance of network design intent on the overall network architecture.
Cisco DNA is the solution to realize IBN, including a set of DNA software and the definition of key attributes of all Cisco devices (Infrastructure).
Cisco DNA contains all the strategies of enterprise network design, deployment, operation and maintenance. DNA center is the controller of Cisco enterprise network domain.
IBN has not yet realized large-scale commercialization, and Cisco experts predict that IBN is expected to become popular and mainstream in 2020. IBN is mainly used for data center network. At present, many foreign startups have started businesses in the field of IBN, including Apstra, forward networks, waltz, Veriflow and so on.
For WAN, the network situation is relatively complex. Currently, there are several solutions to implement IBN in LAN, such as Cisco’s campus network IBN. The ultimate goal is to implement the IBN of the whole Wan. For this reason, Cisco proposed the mulidomain integrations solution.
